Tourism in Passara, is the one and only site dedicated to the hidden wonders of the Passara area. The places you would visit here are not listed in any websites or on any tourist magazines at all.

I request the travelers to enjoy the beauty of it and leave it as you found it. Encourage your friends to visit here, and I am willing to help with in my capacity.

This life is short and it’s the only one we have, where people mostly work, produce, consume, rest and repeat throughout life. This may appear strenuous, and you may feel that you need a break. It is then that you decide to travel. While traveling you must not repeat the same day to day activities you are used to. Enjoy travel and do not be destination oriented. Of course you must decide the destination, but on your way to destination there may be thousands of things that you can see. I recommend you to use a travel guide and read, short list things that you can do, and see on your way.

Of course, it’s up to you to find your own path. Travel is only one possibility that you can choose for relaxation. Just choose a path with meaning. It’s the process that matters, not the arrival, and the journey is in the meetings along the way.

Entry Visa to Sri Lanka

  • Tourists or business travelers will need to apply in advance, usually online via new site, http://www.eta.gov.lk/slvisa/ and pay a processing fee of $30. Only  citizens of The Republic of Singapore, The Republic of Maldives and The Republic of Seychelles are exempt from the requirement of obtaining ETA to visit Sri Lanka

  • The ETA is initially limited to 30 days validity from the date of arrival although it may be extended for up to six (06) months.  You can in person or through an agent or a friend  by sending your passport to the Department of immigration can apply for the extension of visa, upon paying extension fees. 

  • Extension fees differ according to your Passport ( nationality). Contact the Immigration department for more info.

  • Contact the Sri Lankan High Commission or consulate in your country. Usually a thirty days tourist visa could be obtained without any problem. Please browse www.immigration.gov.lk  for the latest updates of visa regulations. 

  • While you are in Sri Lanka, if you need to extend your stay you have to contact the Department of Immigration and Emigration 3rd Floor # 41 Ananda Rajakaruna Mw., Colombo 10, Sri Lanka.

  • Multiple Entry / Transit / Visit visa applications should be made to the nearest Sri Lanka Mission.
1. In the absence of such a mission arrangements could be made through the Dept. of Immigration and Emigration in Sri Lanka, to enter and stay in the country.
2. Applications for the extension of above Visas should be made to the Dept. of Immigration and Emigration.

Being a foreign national who desires to enter Sri Lanka, who holds a return air ticket and sufficient funds [currency / travelers cheques / credit card] for maintenance.

Nationals of countries not listed here should obtain prior Visit Visas whatever the purpose of visit is;
